Ladies’ Day was once again a big hit at The Devon Horse Show in Devon, PA. This year’s theme, Ribbons and Pearls, provided the beautiful décor at the annual Hat Contest and Ladies’ Day luncheon. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the hundreds of beautifully dressed women enjoyed champagne, a specialty cocktail and hors d’oeuvres while shopping, mingling and admiring the beautiful millinery display. Hat Contest participants paraded their unique hats in front of the judges, who presented four awards. The “Best of Devon,” for the hat that best captured the spirit of Devon, went to Robin Sweet for her fantastical carousel hat. “Most Fascinating” was won by Conestoga High School student, Jenny Larkin. “Best Hat to Toe” for the best overall ensemble was awarded to the quartet of Sharon Bozentka, Annette Brennan, Tina Aberant and Joanne Bogon decked hat to toe as Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall. The grand prize ribbon was awarded for “Best in Show” to Tiffany Arey. The incredibly creative and talented Arey took the same prize in 2013.
