Got school spirit? Collegiate Glamour is an apparel and lifestyle brand designed for equestrians who would like to show off their college or university. We caught up with CEO, Tiffany R. Harvey, to ask her about her new equestrian business.

What inspired you to start Collegiate Glamour?
I absolutely loved my college experience – from cheering on our football team to being a part of our intercollegiate dressage team. I found that there was a real gap in collegiate apparel, and there was absolutely no collegiate apparel for riding. I was always taught that I can do anything I put my mind to, so it has been my mission to have a company that provides fashionable collegiate apparel and riding gear for college fans.

What schools do you represent?
We currently represent the University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and Morgan State University. This year, we plan to add over two dozen more from across the country, including UCLA, Penn State, UVA and Clemson.

What products do you offer?
We have a variety of riding products including saddle pads, breeches, ear bonnets, polo wraps, boot bags and more. This year we’ve added clothing that you can wear both in and out of the saddle.

What piece of advice would you give to someone wanting to start their own equestrian business?
Persistence, Patience, and Passion. The three Ps as I call them. Starting your own business is one of the hardest things you can do, and I find that keeping those three Ps in mind encourage me to stay focused and motivated. If you have an undying drive to start your own equestrian business – do it and do not give up!

How do you spend your free time?
[She laughs] I have no free time! However, I like to spend time away from my business with family, friends, and my dachshund, Zoe. I am also blessed to live in South Florida and have access to see the best riding in the world. I am hoping to get back in the saddle this year, and that will be a heavenly way to spend my free time as well.
