Bridging the East-West Gap With Style
June 30, 2014 – Horse & Style Magazine is thrilled to recognize standout, classic horsemanship and riding style from coast to coast this show season with the premiere of the Horse & Style, Style of Riding Award.
In partnership with the 2014 Menlo Charity Horse Show in Atherton, CA, and the 2014 American Gold Cup CSI4*-W in North Salem, NY, Horse & Style will recognize a single rider on each coast with the prestigious Style of Riding Award.
The Award will be given to one competing rider at each show who stands out as a respectful, dignified, courteous and workmanlike sportsman. The rider who displays an impeccable American style of equitation in the ring, and sportsmanship outside of the ring, is deserving of the Style of Riding Award.
“The Style of Riding Award aligns perfectly with Horse & Style’s mission and values,” said H&S Publisher Sarah Appel. “We are excited for its premiere this year, and thrilled to bring this exciting concept to two absolutely outstanding competitions on both coasts of the United States.”
The 2014 Horse & Style, Style of Riding Award – West will be awarded at the Menlo Charity Horse Show, held August 5 – 10th at the Menlo Circus Club, before the start of the $40,000 Los Gatos Luxury Cars Grand Prix.
And this fall, the 2014 Horse & Style, Style of Riding Award – East will be awarded at the American Gold Cup CSI4*-W, held September 10 – 14 at Old Salem Farm, following the $100,0000 Hermès American Gold Cup Grand Prix Qualifier.
By recognizing exceptional horsemanship and riding style on both coasts, Horse & Style continues to lead the way with its fashionable, fresh take on equestrian lifestyle and the horse show world.
